Follow the MCU in release order, grow your network one movie at a time, and test what you remember along the way.

These films are in your personal watch history, but they sit beyond a gap in release order. They can reveal their own movie-specific records without connecting into the chronological universe yet.
This map only renders people, organizations, and story threads revealed by films you have marked as watched. Unwatched-film connections are not hidden behind question marks. They are not loaded into this view at all. The connected matrix advances only through films whose relationship data is currently mapped in this prototype.
Your uninterrupted release-order chain appears below. Out-of-sequence watched films stay in Knowledge Islands until the gap closes. Click a connected poster to inspect the knowledge available at that point.
Test only what your archive already knows. Every available quiz is generated from films you have marked watched, so the question pool stays inside your spoiler horizon.
Five questions are drawn from that movie's current character, performer, story, organization, and company records.
Unwatched films never enter the quiz bank. Watched islands can be tested independently without advancing the connected chronology.
Microkosm Labs is a collection of small experiments built to make complicated systems easier to see, explore, and understand.
This lab uses movies, characters, organizations, stories, and relationships as data. As the watch history grows, the interface reveals the larger structure hiding inside those individual records.
Movie metadata and poster imagery are retrieved using TMDB services. This independent portfolio project is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Movie poster artwork is delivered from TMDB's image CDN. Actor portraits in the relationship map are requested from Wikipedia/Wikimedia when available. Comic/source-material character reference images and character metadata are requested from the open-source Superhero API (akabab) when a matching Marvel Comics record is available. Individual character cards identify these images as Source Material / Comics; technical source attribution is centralized here to keep the interface readable.
The Superhero API project and dataset are distributed under the MIT License. That software/data license does not imply ownership of Marvel characters or underlying character artwork. Source services remain credited and image rights remain with their respective creators and rights holders.
Marvel, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, film titles, characters, trademarks, and underlying artwork remain the property of their respective rights holders. Microkosm claims no ownership of those materials and is not affiliated with Marvel or the Superhero API project.
